RECENT PURCHASES

For the longest time I have been looking for a great patterned shift dress and I can finally say the hunt is over! One of the clubs I am an officer for hosted a shopping social tonight and I knew the moment I saw it I had to have it! Originally $50 marked down to $35 sealed the deal. At the end of March I am going to NYC with my Rent The Runway team for Capstone Weekend and think this will be the perfect dress for the second day of our conference! (ps. we get to meet the EDITOR IN CHIEF OF SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE...you can say I am a little excited) I think this dress has the perfect amount of bright/neutral colors to be a great transitioning piece from the cold winter months to spring.

CURRENT OBSESSION -TULLE SKIRTS

If there is one fashion trend I am currently drooling over... it would have to be wearing tulle skirts in your everyday life! I still haven't determined if it is the dancer in me that loves this trend so much or just how elegant and classy these ladies look. If one thing is for sure, it would be that I will be adding one to my closet in the upcoming future!

OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW

I'm sure you all have noticed but xfashionistagirlx got a little bit of a face lift and I must say I could not be happier with how it turned out! I have been talking about revamping this site for a long time but never found a template I was 100% satisfied with. Well I decided to go give the template search one more try when I stumbled upon carrielovesdesign on Etsy and fell in love with all her templates immediately. I actually started taking screen shots and sending them to my best friends to help me decide because they were all so perfect! I ended up choosing the Pretty Little Blogger template due to how cute and delicate it was. Additionally, I added the $10 installation fee because I knew if that was left in my hands I would manage to screw something up! After purchasing the template at 11:00 pm on a Friday night I was no where near expecting that it would be done before Monday since after all it was the weekend but I'll be darned if I didn't wake up to an email from Carrie the next morning saying my template had been installed and was up and running! I have to admit I might have screamed a little when I saw the completed design... it had everything in it I could possibly dream of: the cursive title, pin it hover button, my Instagram, my Pinterest pins, and so many other little details. I hope you all love it as much as I do and will consider checking out Carrie's templates if you too are looking to take your blog to the next level! 

I can't end this post without posting a photo of the old blog layout for those of you who may have never seen it! I can't believe I put up with this for so long but it definitely is a reminder of how far I have come!

GENTEEL

If there is one color in this world I am obsessed with it would have to be blush pink and by blush pink I mean that color that is just the most elegant, gentle, delicate, soft, most perfect shade of pink. If you don't believe me check out my wedding board on Pinterest HERE...told you it was my favorite color...Luckily my big bought me the color "Genteel" by Sinful Colors during big/little week. I actually don't understand how I have waited this long to try out this color on my nails when big/little reveal week was back in October. It has the most subtle iridescent shimmer that makes it that much more beautiful! So big if you are reading this... THANKS I LOVE IT!

TAKE TIME TO SMELL THE FLOWERS

If there is one thing about college you have to learn to accept it's that you will be living in a bedroom that could easily double as the size of an average walk in closet. However, I have found one thing that  tends to always brighten up an otherwise "depressing" room... and that is FLOWERS! First off, what girl doesn't like flowers... exactly we all do! They add the perfect amount of color and instantly bring life into your room! I'm obsessed with these pink tulips I picked up today at my local grocery store.

FSU Won the National Championship!

My roommate and I made a YouTube Channel which is still a major work in progress... but we think we are funny so hey! Doesn't hurt to try and be YouTube Famous one day right?! LoL

My sorority had Semi Formal! Gamma Phi's and Bow Ties! 

FSU had it's first snow day in over 20 years! Yes that is pretty much the only snow I saw all day! However for living in Florida I must say that is pretty impressive:)

I went to an 80's rock Waltz (for those of you who aren't in sororities, a waltz is basically a themed birthday party when you turn 21)
